The Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) of the Kyoto Protocol.

The CDM allows industrialised countries to invest in emission-reduction projects in developing countries. The CDM is a central feature of the Kyoto Protocol. We have selected projects which are CDM registered, and 100% renewable. The Verified Emission Reductions (VERs) from the project are accredited to the Voluntary Carbon Standard, and used as voluntary offsets.

Voluntary Carbon Standard

Accreditation

The Voluntary Carbon Standard provides a robust global standard for voluntary offset projects.  By ensuring that projects satisfy strict “additionality” criteria, as well as specifying strict tracking and reporting requirements through VCS approved registries, VCS accreditation ensures that projects, and the credits produced, are of the very highest environmental standard.
