David Hayes is an experienced industry professional with almost 30 years experience in the utilities sector, incorporating the deregulated electricity and gas markets within UK and Australia. He has held senior management positions within one of the largest energy companies in Europe throughout the complex stages of industry deregulation and the introduction of competition.

As Chairman of COzero, David is responsible for the strategic direction of the group’s operations, regulatory compliance and risk management.

Responsible for the strategic direction of the B2B business, Nick is actively involved in origination, regulatory compliance and channel strategies. Nick draws on a wealth of experience in international carbon markets and electricity retail, having previously established a mass-market electricity retailer in Australia.

Shen Xiaojing

Manager, CDM Origination

As the manager CDM origination, Shen has good contacts in both China and other Asian countries based on his business experience and international study background. Shen was a director of ACE Company, a company involved in business and education consulting between Australia and other Asian countries. Shen’s main duty is to manage the sourcing and development of CDM projects and maintain strategic partner relationships.

Ellen Braine

Ellen is responsible for COzero’s GreenPower Business and has a passion for environmental sustainability. Ellen has a Masters degree in International Business and Law from the University of Sydney, where she focused her attention on the Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability initiatives of both Australian and international companies. These studies were consolidated through her work in both the Banking sector for ANZ and in the not-for-profit sector for Medicines Sans Frontiers. Ellen continues her commitment to environmental sustainability through her ongoing study to achieve a Masters of Environmental Management.
